This page provides an overview of current and previous teaching in spatial analysis, geospatial methods, and related technical subjects. For current courses, it links to dedicated course pages with syllabi, schedules, and downloadable materials; previous courses are listed in abbreviated form for reference.

T1 / Current

Active courses

Current teaching includes courses in geospatial methods, spatial data handling, and technical workflows. Each entry provides a short overview here; detailed syllabi, schedules, software requirements, and downloadable materials are maintained on the respective course pages.

T1.01 / SMD
Spatial Modeling / 空間資料模型
Surveying Group / DLE / National Chengchi University / ID 207 093 001 / 3 CP / since 2019
The course introduces spatial modeling through the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and database systems. It examines how real-world entities, relationships, and processes can be represented in structured data models, and how those models support analysis, visualization, and decision-making. Students work with relational design, SQL, spatial databases, and GIS-based implementation, progressing from conceptual models to applied land-administration cases. The course introduces conceptual modeling tools, relational database engines and management systems and GIS. Course Page
T1.02 / SDM
Spatial Decision Making/ 空間決策
Surveying Group / DLE / National Chengchi University /
ID 207 751 001 / 257 720 001 / 266 888 001 / 3 CP / since 2020
The course explores how to make better decisions about places and spaces using structured, evidence‑based methods. It introduces decision‑making fundamentals such as multi‑criteria analysis and simple statistical models, then applies them to spatial problems in GIS, including site selection, infrastructure planning, hazard mapping, and land‑use policy evaluation.
T1.03 / CAD
Computer Aided Design / 電腦繪圖
Surveying Group / DLE / National Chengchi University / ID 207 747 001 / 3 CP / since 2018
The course introduces computer-aided design as a complete digital design workflow, from conceptual sketches to production-ready models. Students work with a professional 2D and 3D CAD environment (AutoCAD 202x) to create maps, construction drawings, and engineering plans. Along the way, the course explores core topics in computational geometry, constraints, and parametric modeling.
T1.04 / CGR
Digital Cartography / 地圖學
Surveying Group / DLE / National Chengchi University / ID 207 056 001 / 3 CP / since 2017
Cartography is the technique, science, and art of turning spatial data into maps that help us see and communicate complex geographic relationships. The course introduces the full map‑making process, from conceptual aspects, to selecting and organizing data through filtering information to designing clear, purposeful map layouts using GIS.
T1.05 / 3DM
3D Modeling and Prototyping /
3D建模與原型製作-從概念到創造
Education Center / National Chengchi University / ID 045 063 001 / 2 CP / since 2025
The course introduces complete 3D workflows using CAD tools, from conceptualization through modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering. Students solve real‑world problems by designing functional objects, some of which are 3D‑printed to test performance.
